Reply with quote | #1 | Hey gang,
My friend in Cincinnati ran Chicago - her first full. Before that, she did the Flying Pig relay in May 2008 and then her first 1/2 at Flying Pig 2009.
I'd like to send her something fun - was there a website that had lots of fun running/marathon tee-shirts for women?
Lemme know where to find that site, or other ideas for a good gift. (I have no idea if she'll do another - I don't know how she trained for this one with 4 kids and a husband working 100 hr weeks...)

Reply with quote | #2 | Some of the shirts on the Running Banana website are fun and would make great gifts:

Reply with quote | #3 | Thanks, Jana
A few of those are really great - like "marathoner's response" which includes "EVERY marathon is 26.2 miles"
These are great & mostly inspirational. I was thinking there was another site with more funny ones, but maybe those are only available in person at the expos... |

Reply with quote | #4 | Here's another website I found:

I'm looking for the vendor that I swear I see at almost every expo. The one with all the goofy sayings for running shirts. I just can't seem to find their website.

Reply with quote | #5 | Ann and I were talking about one this morning as well, but we couldn't think of the website either. __________________ [Running is] about getting out the door and running when the rest of the world is dreaming about having the passion that you need to live each and every day with.

Reply with quote | #7 | Ok...now we're talking.
Since she's a mother of 4, I was between "Marathon Mom" from RunningDiva's and "26.2: been there, run that" from OneMoreMile (some of their other ones were great, too, like "If found on ground, drag across finish line...")
I'm going with the "been there, run that" in light of her one (and only?) marathon.
Thanks for hte help! Stevebaby |
