How is everyone doing?  Paul, how's the knee recover coming?

Who else is out there that is still coming back or recovering from something?

Paul - hope you are recovering well.  By now you should be off crutches

I'm laying low due to some arch issues.  Last night was my first run in over a week.  Felt great to run again but I can tell I need some more healing time...

My goal is to be healthy for Living History, such that I can run it with little or no concerns.  Hope everybody else is doing great!

good to see a  few of you m'redders in the dark last weekend, and yes Drew was wearing the tutu...his legs were looking hot wearing that tutu, unfortunately did not get photos

As for me recovery is coming along, seems to be on track.  Got rid of the crutches and immobilizer brace last week, also moved from PT twice a week to once a week, some sort of graduation I guess.

So walking around again, a bit of a gimp, since the knee is pretty stiff still.  Claudia the PT (my new hero) is teaching me to walk again and rebuild those knee muscles.  Can even walk up stairs, down stairs is tougher, especially when stiff later in the day.

Down side is my beer belly is growing with getting no exercise, one must learn to cut back the food/beverages intake when sitting on one's butt.

Catch up with you one of these days, should be mobile and trotting again in another month

Way to go Paul.

I think many of us here love to be the water that Claudia walks on!

Brian, how about an update on you?

Jen, how are you doing?

Slow recovery, but I seem to be making progress.  No pain or swelling in the knee and I was able to survive an actual workout last week.  I'm VERY slowly building my mileage back up.

I'm also on the comeback trail, though not from anything nearly as serious as Brian, Paul, and probably others.

My calf has not been right since mid-July. Started cramping up on a 12 mile run then, and repeated the problem about 2 miles in to every run since.

I did next to no running, other than a trial run every 2-4 weeks to confirm that the problem was still there. So I did elliptical and did more biking and walking. Finally went to see Jenna a couple of times.

Successfully ran 3.8 mile loop without calf pain last week, and did it again yesterday evening. So I think I'm on the mendbut way way out of shape. Amazing what can happen a few months after running Afton...

Steve,

I didn't realize you were having problems.  If you still have some issues I can pass along the name of a terrific PT that has helped many of us in the group.

I had an appointment with Jenna on Friday because I wasn't happy with what I had been getting from my GP (whom I had been seeing up to this point).  I was hoping to get my release at that time, but it ended up being more of a consultation than anything else and she referred me to Dr. Langer.  I hope to get an appointment with him early next week and be done with this already!
